Municipal Pools

As part of Council’s debate on the city’s 10-Year Plan it was agreed the Municipal Pool will remain closed for up to a year until July 2013 while negotiations and discussions with interested parties on its future are progressed further. Up to $50,000 of Council money will be spent investigating the significant leak from the Pool, the full costs of upgrading the pool to a compliant operating standard and the cost of other options to provide pool lane space in Hamilton. Interested parties will have some involvement in these investigations. Council staff will report all of this back to Council by June 2013 at the latest.
