Welcome to the Hamilton Pools website. If you are looking for exercise or recreation the Hamilton pools can cater for you. Twelve months of summer and a world of activities are at your feet.

Learn to Swim... Swimming Lessons will be running on Monday 3rd June as normal.

The Hamilton pools provide quality, safe and affordable fun forthe whole family. We offer PoolSafe facilities with many recreational programmes and activities for Hamilton and the wider Waikato community.

The Hamilton pools are proud to be part of the Community Services Department of Hamilton City Council. We are dedicated to promote health, recreation and rehabilitation through swimming and water activities.

PLEASE NOTE: Our 25m children's pool is closed to public week days from 3.00pm-7.00pm due to learn to swim lessons.

Attention Patrons

School Holiday Slide Hours: 11.00am - 12 noon, 1.00pm - 2.00pm, 2.00pm - 3.00pm and 3.00 -4.00pm. Speed Slides are closed for the season now.

Due to new Winter Hours there has been some changes in other facilities like Hydrotherapy Pool operating hours, Hydroslides, Sauna and Steam. Please click on "Opening Hours" to get more information.

REDUCED OPERATING HOURS FOR HAMILTON’S PUBLIC POOLS

Reduced winter operating hours at Hamilton’s Waterworld and Gallagher Aquatic Centre come into effect on 1 April.

The change to the swimming facilities’ operating hours are based on historic customer trends for the autumn and winter seasons, and are part of Hamilton City Council’s 10-Year Plan, says Community Development and Leisure Manager Deanne McManus-Emery.

“During the colder months, customer numbers traditionally drop off – particularly at the end of the pools’ business day. Council is focussed on producing balanced budgets, and we can make a significant cost saving by pruning back a few hours every week during autumn and winter,” Mrs McManus-Emery says.

The new opening hours for Waterworld are:
Monday to Friday - 6am to 8pm
Saturdays - 7am to 6pm
Sundays - 9am to 6pm

The new opening hours for Gallagher Aquatic Centre are:
Monday to Friday – 6am to 8pm
Saturday - 7.30am to 6.00pm
Sunday - 7.30am to 6.00pm

Regular operating hours resume on 1 October.
